CPEC Cultural Caravan
Caravan of artists, musicians, dancers, photographers,anthropologists, writers and filmmakers travelling from XI’AN CHINA to Gwadar PAKISTAN traversing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and documenting Art and Culture en-route.
At the culmination of the project, series of grand exhibitions will take place in Islamabad, all provinces and GB to showcase all projects coinciding with the 70th anniversary celebrations of Pakistan’s independence.
ART EXHIBITIONS | PAINTINGS
Post Caravan art exhibitions will be organized at national level to showcase the paintings, drawing and art work produced by artists.
A series of books and research reports are part of the caravan to document, preserve and promote the cultural and artistic expression of the diverse communities around the Silk Route/CPEC. A report of the Cultural Caravan will be published at the end of the caravan.
PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION & PUBLICATIONS
Professional photographers will capture and produce the eye-catching pictures, of people, places, archeological sites and the modern CPEC developments throughout the journey.
MUSIC & DANCE
Ideas for Music and Dance performances will be refined, recorded and produced incorporating other top professionals and presented in different cities. CDs, DVDs of the same will also be released for a larger public and institutional consumption.
ACADEMIC INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR
PNCA will host an International Academic Seminar on the history & culture and current relevance of historic Silk Route in Asia.PNCA will encourage artistic and academic resources to contribute their research and theories on vulnerable historical sites, their historic and socio-economic value.
FILMS & DOCUMENTARIES ABOUT NODAL CITIES/CULTURES
Series of short films and documentaries by filmmakers each dedicated to one of the city/caravanserai on the CPEC route. These films will show the historical back ground and contemporary relevance, culture, history, tourist attractions and monuments. These short films will incorporate the regional sense of art and culture through the artistic touch of professional grade filming process.
INTERNATIONAL CREATIVE YOUTH CONTEST
Youth contest would be organized in the same category for maximum participation of youth in both countries.
