9th National Exhibition, 2017
PNCA is organizing a series of exhibitions representing all provinces. The exhibitions will have historic context with reference to land, life and people of Pakistan and will culminate into National Exhibition which is being revived after a long time. The National Exhibition will coincide with Independence Day celebrations in August 2017. Following are the titles of exhibitions.
1. From Mehergarh to Quetta.
2. From Harappa to Lahore via Katas.
3. From Akra to Peshawar via TakhtBai.
4. From Mohenjo-Daro to Karachi via Makli.
5. Silk Rout throughKarakorum.
6. From Takhtbai to Islamabad.
The above curatorial context may be treated as a broad, flexible and gentle reference which need not be imposed onto the diversity of artistic expression. All Exhibitions will be curated by leading curators and the National Exhibition will be a joint curatorial exercise based on a selection of works from provincial exhibitions, showcasing the wonderful diversity and potential of Pakistani art.
You are invited to contribute work/works (2 maximum) in a genre of your choice to represent the relevant Provincial Exhibition along with the following;
1. Your head shot.
2. Your CV.
3. Brief profile.
4. Artist’s statement.
5. High resolution photograph of your work.
6. Performa to be filled that will be send through e-mail or downloaded from PNCA official site www.pnca.org.pk and to be send along with entries.
For convenience, artists can coordinate with our local offices in Lahore and Karachi, local arts councils and art institutes mentioned below where you can drop your works and PNCA professional packers will pack and transport the works to Islamabad.
